A Life Dedicated to Music
Born in La Paz, Bolivia, Giselle Brodsky began her early training with the composer Gustavo Navarre and went on to earn Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
A dedicated student of the Taubman Approach since 1972, she served on the faculty of the Golandsky Institute from 1987 to 2011 and is widely recognised for helping pianists overcome hand injuries.
In 1997 she co-founded the Miami International Piano Festival, and in 2015 launched its Academy — presenting programs across Miami and the Italian Alps. Her students have gone on to Juilliard, the Curtis Institute, Oberlin, the University of Miami and the Hochschule für Musik in Basel.
